Race participation

Conditions for Participation

  1. After registration, racer must attend the breifing specified by the organizer.
  2. Health / Accidental insurance is recommeded (we do not provide).
  3. Racer must not be under the influence of alcohol or drug abuse.
  4. Jump start during race will result in additional 20 seconds to your total lap time.
  5. Passing while Yellow Flag is waved, will be panalized in position adjustment
  6. Race result will be recorded with “transponder” failing to attach, or fall of during track session.
    Racer are responsible for not having the result and must pay for the damage.
  7. Speed limit at pit lane is 30Km/H and one way only.
  8. If any race category has fewer than 7 participants, the organizer may consider adjusting the race schedule, canceling the category, merging it with other categories, or making other adjustments as deemed appropriate to avoid affecting the points standings. Notification will be provided after the registration period has closed.
  9. Selling or providing tyre changing service any where in the circuit are prohibited.
  10. On race catagories with time limit, going faster than the limit will result in being disqualifed
  11. Products or Services that is not this event sponser are strictly prohibited during the parc femme, and podium ceremony.
  12. Please respect and honor the organizers and sponsors of the event. Anyone who violated the rule or do not comply with the requirements As mentioned above. We of have the right to strip the award Including placq and all other winning prizes.
  13. Participants must prep their own race bike and racing gear during inspection before each race.
    All equipment must follow the rules & regulation specified.
    All “RACER” must wear racing suit, Full-face helmets with DOT/Snell/ECE safety standard , along with racing gloves and racing boots.
  14. A team may request a name change, subject to prior notification and approval from the event organizers. The new team name must comply with advertising and marketing sponsorship guidelines, and it must not violate commercial regulations or infringe on sponsor rights. Any team undergoing a name change must maintain the same members or racers. If a racer change or team transfer occurs without proper notification to the organizers, all accumulated points from previous races will be forfeited, and the racer’s points will be reset to zero.

  15. Changing/Replacing race bike during the season must be approved by the organizer. In cases where the original car becomes unusable due to incidents such as crash or technical issues, any replacement or modification to the race bike model or specifications must comply with the specific competition category’s regulations, including engine requirements, engine displacement (cc), and internal components.

  16. Participants must use Pirelli tires only in the competition.

Racing

  1. Each race category will have specific number of laps, on each race.
  2. During Race the red signal light will be hold and race start when it goes out.
  3. Flag Signal All racer must enter the race briefing on the race day, and sign acknowledgement document.
  4. Completing a lap faster than bracketed time in any race, will result in “disqualify” for the current race with race no points.
  5. Racing in a Class B race with faster than bracketed time, participant will be adjusted to Class A in the next race with no points.

Passing on trackday session

  1. The rider in front always has the right of way. During overtake, it is the responsibility of the overtaking person, always leaving enough space for the slower bike.
    Overtaken without caution.
  2. In case of accident cause by an overtake.
    There will be no disputes, The person who overtakes is FULLY RESPONSIBLE for what ever happens.
    whether the accident occurred before, during or after the overtake.
  3. If accident cause by an overtake, The person who overtakes will be remove from all of the session, NO REFUND!

Pre-Race Scrutineering

  1. All riders must present their race motorcycle along with full riding gear—helmet, gloves, boots, and racing suit—to the technical inspection officials prior to their scheduled timed session.

    • Failure to comply will result in disqualification from the session.

  2. Safety and equipment check:

    • Riders must remove mirrors, center stands, and any parts that may pose a danger, including sharp edges, non-rounded components, or any items that may detach and fall on the track.

  3. Tire inspection:

    • Tires must be in good, usable condition.

    • Tires that are excessively worn or show signs of internal structure will not be allowed.

  4. Safety wiring and secure fastening is required for:

    • Fill/drain bolts, brake calipers, kickstands, brake fluid reservoirs must be safety-wired or secured – the oil filter must be clamped with a stainless steel clamp. *The requirement for an underbelly or fluid catch tray in case of oil leakage is cancelled for the race category. However, all fluid change points on the race bike must meet safety standards and must not be damaged or appear unsafe for competition.All fluid-draining areas of the bike must meet safety standards, and must not be damaged or show signs of potential hazard.

  5. Brake fluid reservoir inspection:

    • Must be in fully functional condition.

    • Reservoirs must be free from leaks or any visible damage that could compromise braking performance.

    • This is a critical inspection point and will determine if the bike passes or fails the technical check.

If any non-standard equipment is found—such as unapproved components, parts that may compromise safety, or equipment not installed according to manufacturer specifications—the technical inspector reserves the right to disqualify the rider from passing inspection and deny participation in the race.

Wrapping tape around the brake fluid reservoir to prevent spillage in the event of an accident is optional.
Riders may choose to apply or not apply tape, and this will not affect the outcome of the technical inspection as long as the braking system is functioning properly and shows no signs of leakage.
However, tape must not be used to conceal any leakage or damage to the brake fluid reservoir.

Grid Positioning

Qualifying is the designated on-track session used to determine starting grid positions based on lap times.
Starting positions will be determined exclusively by lap times recorded using Transponder timing systems provided by the event organizer.

The official starting grid will be announced after the Qualifying session, based on each rider’s best recorded lap time.

The rider with the fastest lap time will start from Pole Position (P1), followed by the 2nd, 3rd, and so on, in descending order of lap times.

protests

  1. Right of protest
    • Protests can be filed by registered competitors or race team members.
    • Individuals who are not involved in the competition, such as followers, spectators, cannot file a protest.
  2. Protest submission
    • Protests must be submitted in writing, clearly detailing the reasons and concerns. Protest form will be at registration
    • If Protest were in doubt : Pictures, Video, Live streaming during the race can be use as evidence.
      • Protests must be filed within the specified time after the controversial event, within 30 minutes after the official announcement of the results.
      • Protests about rule violations: must be filed within 30 minutes.
    • Protest submission fee: In order to file a protest, the team filing must pay a 3,000 baht fee, and will be refunded if the protest is successful.

Starting a Race

  1. Pit exit will be open only for 5 minutes of each race session. Any bike that did not exit within the specified time will be held behind the pit exit gate. and will be allowed to enter the race only when the last bike on the starting grid has passed Turn 1.
  2. Jump starts in a race will result in added 20 seconds to the total race time, after the end of the race.
  3. During the race, when red flag were signalled. Competitor must slow down, no overtake is allowed, and ride back into the pit lane. Until further notified by the announcer or race marshall .
  4. The restart ranking in the case of a red flag will use the ranking in the lap before the red flag incident.
  5. The pit exit opening time for restarting will be 1 minute.
  6. Racing car ranked 1-5 overall after the end of the race must park the car in the inspection area. There will be a car to pick up the racers to the racer interview point (PARC FERME) for photo shoots and interviews.
  7. All race cars must turn off their engines when entering the Grid Start.
  8. It is strictly forbidden to reduce speed immediately to show joy in the area in front of the Grand Stand / Finish Line.

Rain/Wet Track conditiondurng Qualify or Race

  1. If qualifying cannot be held due to track conditions, the starting grid (Starting Grid) will be arranged based on each racer’s Fastest Lap from their best Practice session.
  2. If the race cannot proceed due to track conditions, or if the race lasts less than 3 laps, the final race results will be arranged based on the Fastest Lap from the qualifying session, with 25% of the total points awarded.
  3. If the race completes less than 70% of the designated laps, 50% of the total points will be awarded.

Penalty for Allowing Another Person to Ride:

  1. If it is discovered that any racer has allowed someone who is not a registered participant to ride their race bike during any Official Session of the SuperbikeMag.com Trophy, the following penalties will be enforced:
    • Qualify and Race: Disqualification and prohibition from participating in all SuperbikeMag Trophy events for the entire year, along with the forfeiture of all accumulated points in every race event. Additional penalties may be considered depending on the circumstances.
  2. Penalty for Track Cutting or Going Off-Track:

    • Track Cutting Without Benefit: If a racer goes off the track but does not gain any advantage (e.g., does not improve their position), there will be no additional penalty, but a warning will be issued.

    • Track Cutting with Benefit: If a racer goes off the track and gains an advantage (e.g., overtakes another racer or sets a faster lap time, or it affects their podium position), the penalty will involve a reduction in their podium position by one place, or a deduction of 10 points from the race results.

    • Repeated Track Cutting: If a racer repeatedly cuts the track or goes off the designated path without adhering to warnings, more severe penalties will be applied, such as a time penalty (e.g., an additional 1-3 seconds added to their lap time).

    In the case of a points-based competition, if track cutting significantly impacts the race results (e.g., changes the ranking or constitutes repeated violations), the officials may consider deducting accumulated points or even disqualifying the racer from the event.

  3. Case of Oil Spillage on the Track (Track Day Events)
    3.1 Offense Description
    Any race or Track Day participant whose motorcycle causes oil leakage (engine oil / fuel / brake fluid, etc.) onto the racetrack due to negligence or failure to ensure the bike’s proper condition, thereby compromising the safety of others and potentially causing accidents, shall be considered at fault.

      3.3 Fine Payment Procedure

  • Fines must be paid immediately at the registration point or track office before proceeding with any activity.
  • Accepted payment methods: Cash, QR PromptPay, or bank transfer (receipt will be issued).
  • Offenders must sign an acknowledgment of the offense and penalty.
  • Failure to comply will result in a ban from all future events

Principles for Motorcycle Racer Grading in Thailand

  1. Main Criteria for Racer Grading Consideration

    • Competition Performance
      • Racers who achieve a podium position (1st or 2nd place) in 3 races will be promoted to Class “A” in their current competition level. This will be effective from 2024 onwards.
      • Racers who win the annual championship in 2024 and accumulate the highest points will be promoted to Class “A” in their current competition level. This will be effective from 2024 onwards.
      • Racers in Class A who set lap times below the Time Limit of Class “B” in more than 2 races will be considered for downgrading from Class “A” to Class “B” due to safety concerns in high-speed racing.
      • A driver who can achieve a better time than the Limit Time in two or more races will be considered for an immediate promotion from Grade B to Grade A.

Track Flag Signals and Meanings

    1.  🟢Green Flag
      • Meaning: The track is clear. It is safe to continue or start racing.
      • Usage: Displayed after a hazardous area or at the start of a race session.
    2. 🟡Yellow Flag  Meaning: Danger ahead. Riders must slow down and overtaking is strictly prohibited.
      Situations include:
      • A fallen or broken-down motorcycle on track
      • A vehicle stopped on track while waiting for removal
      • Accidents at Turn 3 (Yellow flags must be waved at Turn 3, 2, and 1)
      • Debris on track (e.g. broken parts from an accident)
      • Oil spills or other hazardous substances on the track surface
      • Track officials present on the track (assisting fallen riders or clearing debris)
        Note: No overtaking is allowed under yellow flag conditions. Violation will result in penalties.
    3. 🔴Red Flag
      Meaning: Immediate stoppage of the session or race.
      Situations include:
      • Major incidents involving multiple bikes or serious injuries requiring ambulance access
      • Sudden track flooding or heavy rain making it unsafe to continue
      • Extensive debris or oil requiring a long cleanup
      • End of allotted time for the session

        Instructions:

      • Riders must stop racing immediately and return to the Pit Lane or starting grid as directed.
      • No overtaking or acceleration is allowed during return to the safe area.
      • Await further instruction for either Restart, Result declaration from previous lap, or Session termination.
    4. 🔵 Blue Flag
      Meaning: A faster rider is lapping you. Allow them to pass safely.
      Instruction: The lapped rider must yield and give way to leading riders.
    5. 🏁 Checkred Flag 
      Meaning: End of session or race.
      Instruction: Cross the finish line, slow down, and return to the pit lane safely.

    Area Zone Survey

    • All riders must study and strictly comply with flag signals.
      Violations may result in time penalties, disqualification, or fines as outlined in the regulations.
    • If a bike is leaking fluids or has broken/detached parts, the nearest marshal has the right to wave the Red Flag at that rider, who must immediately exit the track and stop in a designated safe zone.
      Failure to comply may result in penalties or fines.
    • At the end of practice, qualifying, or race sessions, a Chequered Flag will be shown at the Finish Line to indicate time expiration.
    • If a Red Flag is shown during any session, all riders must reduce speed, avoid overtaking, and return directly to the Pit Lane.
      Failure to return to the pits will result in a fine of 2,000 THB per lap.
    • When Yellow Flags are displayed, all riders must slow down and overtaking is strictly prohibited until passing a Green Flag zone.
